Terms of Service

Effective September 30, 2026

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of ThingPing. By creating an account or using ThingPing, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the service.

1. Eligibility and accounts

You must be legally able to enter into this agreement. You are responsible for providing accurate account information, protecting your password, and all activity performed through your account. Notify ThingPing support promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

2. The service

ThingPing helps you record, organize, locate, and manage information about physical items, places, and containers. Features may be added, changed, suspended, or discontinued as the service develops.

3. Your data

You retain ownership of information and images you submit. You grant ThingPing a limited license to host, copy, process, and display that content only as needed to operate, secure, maintain, and improve the service. You are responsible for having the right to submit your content and for keeping independent copies of important information.

4. Acceptable use

You may not use ThingPing to:

5. Subscriptions and payment

Paid features, prices, billing periods, renewal terms, trial terms, and cancellation options are presented when you subscribe. Payments may be processed by a third-party payment provider and are also subject to that provider's terms. Except where required by law or expressly stated at purchase, fees already paid are nonrefundable.

A subscription may include stated allowances for file storage and AI-assisted features. ThingPing shows current usage and the applicable allowance in the account's Usage and Plan section. Additional capacity is prepaid and requires the storage account owner's approval through the payment provider; ThingPing does not automatically impose an unapproved overage charge. Internal service backups and failed AI requests do not count against customer allowances.

6. Third-party services

ThingPing may link to or integrate with services operated by others. ThingPing does not control those services and is not responsible for their content, availability, or practices.

7. Intellectual property

ThingPing and its software, branding, design, and service content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms do not transfer ownership of ThingPing technology or branding to you.

8. Suspension and termination

You may stop using ThingPing at any time. ThingPing may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to address a violation of these terms, protect users or the service, comply with law, or manage discontinuation of the service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.

9. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ThingPing is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of uninterrupted operation, error-free results, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. ThingPing is an organizational aid and does not replace appropriate safeguards for valuable, hazardous, regulated, or safety-critical items.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ThingPing and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data, or goodwill arising from use of the service. Total liability for all claims relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid ThingPing during the 12 months before the claim or 100 US dollars. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so portions of this section may not apply to you.

11. Changes to these terms

ThingPing may update these terms as the service or legal requirements change. The updated terms will be posted here with a new effective date. When required, users will receive additional notice. Continued use after updated terms take effect constitutes acceptance of them.

12. Contact

Questions about these terms may be submitted through the ThingPing Support form.
